Forest Stewardship

Adaptation Forest is managed pursuant to a 10-year forest stewardship plan prepared by a professional forester. The plan provides recommendations on how to ready the property for the changing climate, increase biodiversity and improve wildlife habitat. These recommendations will help guide our climate adaptive strategies.

The State of Massachusetts and USDA provide incentives for landowners to manage their land in an environmentally responsible way. The MA Dept of Conservation & Recreation has created many helpful publications forest owners, such as those shown here.
